While general anesthesia is preferred in children, the operation is performed under local anesthesia in adults. In the operation, the cartilage causing the deformity is reshaped. Since incisions are made behind the ear, there is no visible scar. Depending on the deformity and the technique applied, it is necessary to wear a hair band for a while.
